Brainless-Girlie Movies over the weekends...

Last 2 weekends, I watched 2 movies - She's the Man AND Just my Luck. Pretty girlie movies...

SHE'S THE MAN (click here to the movie's official website)
I missed the first half hour of the show.... Thanks to Alvin... Not becoz he's late for our appointment. It's all becoz of his BLURNESS... It was indeed very funny...

He got the tix online... we were on time when we reached Orchard Cinileisure. Queued up to collect the tix. The counter can't locate our tix with his credit card. So he gave the booking number.... Unfortunately, that terminal was HANGED! We were being directed to the other terminate. Queued up (running a few minutes late for the movie!!!) same thing, gave them Alvin's credit card... CAN'T located the reservation made... and gave them the booking number, it hanged the system.... AND REALISED that the movie's not the Orchard Cinileisure... it's actually at THE CATHEY (Formerly known as THE PICTUREHOUSE). OK Nevermind, we took a bus (5mins ride) to THE CATHEY. By then we are kinda late for the movie. Ran to the counter, collected our tix and went in to the theater... REALIZED that someone's at our seat!! They are holding the same tix as us!!! SAME SEAT NUMBER, SAME SHOW!!!! OK nevermind, we went to seat somewhere. Thank god, the theater wasn't full... After the movie.... the couple came to us and ask whether to ask the counter what happen... why we were holding the same tix. That that moment, I was like.... "GOOD!!! MAYBE WE CAN GET COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS!!!" So i went to the counter... Seriously ask why this happens and what's the ciniplex's protocol to compensate the patrons. NOT LONG, after they studied the 2 tix and realised that
Alvin and my tix are dated on SUNDAY at 11:35pm. (NOT SATURDAY!!) And we apologised and we were so embarrassed....

To summerised, Alvin made 4 inconvenience that night!!!
1. We went to the wrong cinema.
2. He hanged 2 terminals, delay the people queuing behind us.
3. Disturb the couple from the show who thought the management screws up.
4. Embarrassed myself to ask for compensation from the cinema.

ALVIN!!!! My silly blur boy!!!!

It was pretty funny and embarrassing!!! We were laughing abt it the whole night!!! haa haaa.....
Anyway the movie's about...
When a teenage girl, Viola, discovers that her soccer team has been cut from her school, she disguises herself as her twin brother and takes his place at his new boarding school for two weeks. Comedy ensues when she falls in love with her new roommate, Duke, and finds herself the object of affection of the beautiful Olivia, the girl whom Duke loves. Things get even more complicated when her twin brother, Sebastian, finally turns up.

JUST MY LUCK (Click here for the movie's official website)

It was not too bad!!! hmmm... can watch for fun!!! Some brainless movie, i can say...
About the movie:
Ashley Albright (LINDSAY LOHAN) is the luckiest woman in the world, a person to whom all the good things in life have come far too easily. Jake (CHRIS PINE), on the other hand, is a bad luck magnet. On this night when dreams can be made or broken, fate brings Ashley and Jake together on the dance floor. Instantly taken with one another, they share an electrifyingly kiss and with that one kiss, their luck switches places. Suddenly, Ashley's dress rips. Her heel breaks. Her good luck seems to have finally run out. Jake, in his rush to catch Phillips before he leaves, ends up saving the record mogul's life and earning with that one simple twist of fate, the chance to make all his dreams come true. As Ashley desperately races to regain the luck she blithely took for granted, she begins to see that it's not so much having good luck but what you do with it that counts, and that her greatest chance of redemption lies with the guy who holds the key to her sudden change of fate.

Devil's Day... 6th June 2006

One fine day, i was sitting in the bus with Dawn... she took a nap during the journey and i was bored, i was watch TVmobile in the bus. Saw THE OMEN's Trailer.... and at the end of the trailer is a contest that only required me to sms my details to them... so outa boredom, I sms and I WON a pair of tix to the preview of the movie!!!!

Alvin and I went to watch THE OMEN last night after work! Well, it's free... why not? haa haa... it's eve of opening. Well, it's open today on the 6th Jun 2006. Believe to be not a good day... triple 6 represents devil in the bible.

Well, this movie's not as scary as Exorcist... but it's not a bad movie to watch.

Synopsis:
Many believe the prophecy from the Book of Revelation provides a map to a terrifying future or it presents fragments of history that have come to life in our time. The signs, they claim, are all around us: terrorist attacks, extreme weather the list goes on. The passage specifically points to the arrival of the Anti-Christ, who is branded with the numerical sequence 666: the mark of the Beast. The Anti-Christ will receive his power directly from Satan to establish a counterfeit kingdom on earth, signaling the beginning of Armageddon...

Robert Thorn is unaware of such dark prophecies. Thorn, a senior American diplomat, has other things on his mind. His wife, Katherine, has endured a difficult delivery and she's as yet unaware their newborn child has died. Devastated by the loss, Thorn's concern turns to Katherine, who had suffered two previous miscarriages. The news will surely devastate her. The hospital priest, Father Spiletto, presents Thorn with another child born that night, whose mother died in childbirth. The priest compels Thorn to take the infant boy as his own; Katherine will never know the truth, and their son, which they name Damien, will be raised as their flesh and blood. Katherine embraces the child as her own, blossoming in motherhood; Thorn, it would seem, has made the right choice. Thorn's career ascends he becomes the U.S. ambassador to Great Britain and the family settles into an estate outside London. But certain events, all seeming to revolve around the now five-year-old Damien, are deeply disturbing: Damien's nanny hangs herself at the youngster's birthday party; a strange priest brings dire warnings to Thorn; a children's trip to the zoo results in a panicked frenzy; Damien becomes hysterical during a drive to church; and blurred movements in a series of photographs portend shocking deaths. The troubling incidents multiply, pointing to something wrong terribly wrong with Damien. Enter Mrs. Baylock, Damien's new nanny, who seems to have a preordained devotion to the child. Then tragedy strikes closer to home. But only later does Thorn comprehend the truth: Damien is no ordinary child; he is the long-prophesized Anti-Christ. Now, Thorn must make the ultimate sacrifice to prevent the unspeakable terror that awaits the world. The prophecy is clear, the signs unmistakable: Armageddon is upon us. On 6 / 6 / 06, the omen is revealed...and our darkest fears are realized.

GREASE, the fifth longest running musical in Broadway history is revved up and ready to rock 'n' roll. GREASE brings back the classic rock ‘n’ roll sounds of the fifties with songs including “We Go Together,” “Summer Nights”, “Beauty School Dropout” and “Born to Hand Jive.” And for those of you who cannot get enough of GREASE, special arrangements have been made to include three hit songs from the movie: “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and “You’re The One That I Want” and Barry Gibb’s “Grease”. Not forgetting “Summer Lovin’’’ and “Greased Lightnin’”.
Yesterday, we watched X-Men, The last stand. It was good too.... Watched the first one and the second one.... they are all great!!! should watch it!!!
